Sean “Contractor” Edwards, principal of Contractor Music Marketing, is encouraging entertainers and other industry stakeholders to extend benevolence.

This comes after he aided the Issa Trust Foundation and the Michigan Lions to provide free eye testing and vision solutions to 750 students at Savanna-la-Mar Primary School on October 27.

“It’s very important for entertainment and other private sector companies in Jamaica to give back. Jamaica has many social issues that the Government does not have the resources to solve . The Issa Trust, for example, is the charity arm of the Couples Resorts hotel. With them having two hotels in Negril it makes viable sense for them to impact the future lives in Westmoreland,” he told the Jamaica Observer.

According to Edwards, he has been pitching in to help with many altruistic projects across the island.

“Well, ever since the Issa Trust ‘For The Children’ concert with Air Supply, Third World, and Koffee, Contractor Music Marketing was recruited for mainstream media marketing and street promotion. Since then I have expanded to assisting with their community projects such as their ‘Vision Mission’ and the recent ‘Fact Finding Mission’ at Victoria Jubilee Hospital and Spanish Town Hospital,” he explained.

Edwards was the executive producer of the Tropical House Cruises To Jamaica: The Asian Edition album which was recently up for consideration in the Best Reggae Album category of the Grammys.
