Singer D-Major is looking to inspire the masses with his latest track Unstoppable which features retired sprinter Usain Bolt.
“I just had an idea to write about winning, championships, and [an] empowering kind of song,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
Released on September 22, it was produced by A-Team Lifestyle.
The singer further said that the connection with Bolt came about naturally, and the creative process was also seamless.
“I had ran the initial idea by a friend, and he suggested letting Usain hear it based on the nature of the song. But I lost the first idea on a phone that crashed. However, a bit over a month after, I saw NJ [Bolt’s manager] by the studio, and discussed the idea I had [with him]. He instantly wanted to do it as well,” D-Major explained.
The former member of the group Q-T is best known for songs such as Can’t Get Enough, Real Know Real, and covers of John Lennon’s Woman and Bonnie Raitt’s I Can’t Make You Love Me.
D-Major, real name Damian Codlin, is currently working on an EP, but he has high hopes that Unstoppable will reach higher heights.
“I want it reach everyone; every household, every arena, every stadium,” he said.
