Eternal Fire is the new album from singjay Chuck Fenda. Released on February 24, it comes three years after Concrete Jungle, his previous set.

On Eternal Fire, Chuck Fenda teams with Dwayne “Fire Wayne” Cowans, who produced all 15 tracks.

“The inspiration behind the album is that the fire is hot, it ever a burn! We show the people the truth, while standing up for justice. It’s about the struggles that people are going through, the crime and the violence affecting the country, the frequent killings, and the missing children,” said Chuck Fenda.

Cherine Anderson, whom he teamed with in 2007 for the chart-topping single Coming Over Tonight, is featured on the track Call On Me.

He also collabs with newcomer Krisique on So Real.

“Cherine is an amazing artiste to work with. She’s exceptionally different when it comes to the music,” said the singjay.

“Krisique is an [up-and-coming] artiste, she reminds me of Jada Kingdom. She’s very talented and full of lyrics and charisma. She has that stardom quality.”

He added that all of the songs on Eternal Fire are relevant to today’s day-to-day experiences.

“Most of the songs I can relate to. The mother song (Song For Mama) is a real-life story. My mother had me in the US and she took me to Jamaica when I was six weeks old and left me with my grandmother. I haven’t seen or heard from her since. So, singing that song about her was very emotional. All the songs are real-life stories and everything that I sing comes from my soul,” Chuck Fenda shared.

The veteran artiste has hit the road in support of Eternal Fire. Last week, he performed in Belize and this weekend he heads to Costa Rica.

Born Leshorn Whitehead, Chuck Fenda is known for the hit songs Gash Dem and Light Dem, I Swear, The Prayer and Oh My Lord.
