Dancehall artiste Shenseea on Sunday (December 5) won a MOBO Award in the Best Reggae Act category.
Though the Mobo Awards were held in person, after an almost 5 year hiatus, Shenseea was not present.
Shenseea however did share with her fan base her excitement about winning the award in a short Instagram post.
“I won a Mobo Award. Thank you to all who voted,” Shenseea said online.
Similarly, the award show on its official Instagram page highlighted the artiste’s win.
The MOBO Awards (Music of Black Origin, also known as the MOBOs) are an annual British music award presentation honouring achievements in “music of black origin”, including hip hop, grime, R&B, soul, reggae, jazz, gospel, and African music.
The MOBO Organisation was founded by Kanya King, and the first MOBO award was presented to Baby D, in the Best Dance Act category.
