If there’s one thing that we know for certain, it’s that brand Jamaica sells. And Netherlands-based football club probably had this in mind when they dropped reggae-inspired third kit. But it looks like they underestimated just how much the brand sells.

Just hours after releasing the kit, the official Ajax site had to briefly issue a queuing system to satisfy the high volumes of traffic as excited fans tried to get their hands on one of the Marley tribute shirts.

Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds has become something of a club anthem for the Dutch side with the track getting a regular airing before games at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

The outfit, which is designed and manufactured by Adidas, features a black, red and yellow colour scheme and features a design of three birds just below the collar at the back of the neck.
