Sting has officially launched its 2023 edition scheduled for Boxing Day revealing the ’10 Giants’ who will headline the show as it returns to its long-standing venue, Jamworld, in Portmore, to mark its 40th anniversary.

Organisers are promising fans an experience filled with “electrifying performances, pulsating beats, and an atmosphere that will leave them craving more”.

The stellar line-up of the ’10 Giants’ comprises Bounty Killer, Tanya Stephens, Anthony B, Spragga Benz, Turbulence, Macka Diamond, Capleton, Fantan Mojah, Bugle, and Tommy Lee Sparta.

Anthony B, who made his début at Sting 28 years ago, expresses his delight at returning, stating, “I am honoured to be part of this legendary event. I received my first major breakthrough at this show in 1995 when I performed #FirePonRome, earning recognition as the best performer of #Sting95. Portmore is my home, and from leaving my birth land parish of Trelawny, I have evolved into the artist I am today.”

As is tradition, the organisers will also introduce new and emerging talent in the dancehall and reggae scene to the audience.

The event will showcase additional major acts such as Intense, General B, Admiral Bailey, Lady G, I WAATA, among others.

The official rum sponsor for Sting, Worthy Park Estate, is thrilled to return for the second time with its flagship brand Rum-Bar White Overproof Rum.

Marketing manager of Worthy Park, Tamika West, shared: “We at Worthy Park Estate are elated to return to Sting for the second time with our flagship brand Rum-Bar White Overproof Rum. Rum-Bar celebrates Vibes of Jamaica, which unquestionably includes our reggae and dancehall with their roots as deep as the sugar cane in our fields. For 40 years Sting has worn the crown as the top destination for reggae and dancehall music lovers worldwide. What better way to celebrate four decades of greatness than with a Rum-Bar, especially as they make their triumphant return to Jamworld Entertainment Complex.”

A patron expressed their happiness about returning to Jamworld: “Portmore is where Sting was born and should stay. The anticipation is high for this milestone celebration of reggae and dancehall music at Sting 2023.”
