Promoter for the inaugural October Fest, Barrington “Tari” Gordon says all is in place for a successful staging of the Madd Outt edition.

The event, with headliner Valiant, is slated for Colonel Cove in Morant Bay, St Thomas, on Sunday. Showtime is 7:00 pm.

“Everything, from an organisational and operational view, is up and running … with just two days before the show, I can report that everything is in place for a successful staging,” Gordon told the Jamaica Observer.

Gordon, who also stages the annual St Thomas Jerk Festival, says he feels honoured to be the first promoter to bring the sought-after deejay to the eastern end of the island.

“Valiant has never performed in St Thomas, Portland and St Mary, so I am proud to be the first to bring him to this side of the country,” he noted.

“We went for Valiant because we believe he is one of the top trending dancehall artistes right now, and October Fest is a show that will always be going after the best artistes, and I believe that Valiant is one of the best right now,” Gordon added.

He is urging fans of Valiant, christened Raheem Bowes, not to miss the opportunity to see the Mad Out artiste in live and living colour.

“I am saying to fans to come out and enjoy themselves because everything is going to be a blast,” Gordon noted.

The package will also include other local talent and a number of top sound systems to keep patrons entertained throughout the night.
