Gospel singer Rhoda Isabella previews her still-untitled, forthcoming sophomore album with the release of the powerful worship song Jehovah (You Reign).

The song, which has found its way on local FM radio, has been making waves over the past few weeks.

A post-pandemic expression of gratitude, the song emotes heartfelt echoes of praise and honour to God for his faithfulness.

This song’s infectious energy and catchy melody will resonate with listeners who want to experience joy and liberation through worship.

The song was released on January 20.

Jehovah (You Reign) was created as a post-pandemic release of worship to God. The biggest takeaway that I would love for people to have is to keep your undiluted praise flowing in every season along the journey of your life. Always gain the correct perspective which is a daily lifestyle of praise and worship,” Rhoda Isabella shared on Friday in an interview with the Jamaica Observer.

Jehovah (You Reign), released via RIMCity Records, was co-produced by Jordan Addiman, Japheth Addiman, Denvil Buchanan, and Rhoda Isabella.

The artiste recalls the recording session for the song.

“The process was a unique one. This is a new genre to the production team, by the help of God, with a leap of faith, we were able to complete it. The support for the song has been intense. We are very grateful for the love that has been poured out to us,” she shared, adding that the entire project will feature a number of collaborations with the best producers in the country and possibly international producers.

Rhoda Isabella released her début album Kingdom Rhode in May 2019. That project, spawned by the hit songs Church Medley, Still Breathing and
You Lift Me Up, helped the former background singer scoop up a handful of nominations and awards in the Sterling Gospel Music Awards.

Almost three years ago Rhoda Isabella launched her record label RIMCity Records in collaboration with her brothers Jordan and Japheth Addiman. The label’s first project was Rhoda Isabella’s single Psalm 20.

She recalls her journey in the Christian world and venturing into music at an early age.

“I have been baptised since I was 4 years old but came into the knowledge of Christ in my late teens. My late dad also encouraged me to sing when I was five years old, but I was introduced to the gospel industry at age 17 as a background singer for Jermaine Edwards. I started as a soloist at the age 27,” Rhoda Isabella disclosed.

Rhoda Isabella is a former member of the gospel trio iWorshipp. She studied at Edna Manley College for the Visual and Performing Arts.
