Jump continues upward trajectory

Although it has stalled in the #3 position on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart since it debuted in that spot 11 weeks ago, Jump by South African singer Tyla, featuring American rapper Gunna and Jamaican dancehall artiste Skillibeng, continues to make gains on other Billboard charts.

Taken from Tyla’s self-titled debut album, Jump spent seven weeks at #1 on the UK Afrobeats Songs chart. On the latest Billboard charts, the song steps up from #49 to #47 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Over on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay it fares better, rising from #43 to #38.

Over on Rhythmic Top 40, Jump bolts from #30 to #24, while moving from #37 to #31 on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay. The song backtracks from #7 to #8 on the Hot R&B Songs chart.

YG Marley’s Praise Jah in the Moonlight wanes on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay descending from #21 to #22, while over on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay it rebounds from #18 to #16.

Santa by Rvssian, featuring Rauw Alejandro and Ayra Starr, has been doing reasonably well on Billboard and overseas charts.

On Billboard’s Global 200 the song falls from 32 to 46, having peaked at #5. It finds better luck on the Global Excluding US chart, stepping up from #30 to #26.

On Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart, Santa brings the presents at #9, rising from #12, while on Latin Streaming Songs it bumps up from #10 to #6. It also debuts at #22 on Latin Rhythm Airplay.

Santa previously peaked at #1 in Spain, #50 in Italy and #15 in Argentina.

Meanwhile, over on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, Legend by Bob Marley and the Wailers logs 230 non-consecutive weeks at #1.

Dutty Classics Collection by Sean Paul remains at #2, so too Shaggy’s Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection at #3.

Stick Figure’s World on Fire and Set in Stone are #4 and #5, while Greatest Hits by UB40 inches up to #6.

Wisdom by Stick Figure moves up to #7, while Shenseea’s Never Gets Late Here takes a nosedive from #4 to #8.

Rastaman Vibrations by Bob Marley and the Wailers and Welcome to Jamrock by Damian Marley re-enter at #9 and #10 respectively.

On regional charts, Everything Bless by Ras Demo takes over the #1 spot on the Rebel Vibez Top Ten Canadian Reggae chart. Top of the Moon by Exco Levi is #2, while The Frequency by Dudsymil and Blk Orchid is #3.

Over on the South Florida Reggae chart, I Love the Way by Novel-T spends a second week at #1, while Ain’t Too Proud to Beg by Hezron and Beenie Man debuts at #24.

My Journey by Shuga is #1 on the Foundation Radio Network (New York) Reggae chart.
