Jesse Royal’s album cover takes centre stage at Canada’s largest shopping mall

Canadians in Toronto’s downtown core are getting schooled in Jesse Royale, after his album cover appeared on a digital billboard a top the entrance of one of the country’s largest malls.

The Jamaican reggae artiste’s sophomore album cover, which bears a photo of Royal clad in a ruby red cloak-style outfit, is the image that has been greeting the thousand of shoppers, among transit users , who have been making their way in and out of The Toronto Eaton Centre.

“Jah Jah blessings this ain’t no luck!!! Give thanks for all the support @spotify @spotifycanada !!! Go streaaam #Royal now!!! #Toronto,” said Royal who shared a photo of the billboard on his Instagram page.

“Royal” was released on June 11, 2021 by Easy Star Records.

The album has been described as a cross-genre body of work containing elements of hip-hop, jazz, blues, Afrobeats and dancehall but reggae being described by the artiste as its backbone.

The Toronto Eaton Centre attracts the most visitors of any of Toronto’s tourist attractions and it is North America’s busiest shopping mall, due to extensive transit access, its downtown location and tourist traffic.

The mall has 330 stores and restaurant and recorded 48,969,858 visitors in 2015 alone, the Toronto Eaton Centre sees more annual visitors than either of the two busiest malls in the United States.

The number of visitors to the Toronto Eaton Centre in 2015 exceeds the total 2015 passenger count at Toronto Pearson International Airport, Canada’s largest and busiest airport.
