As the newest Red Stripe ambassador, Usain Bolt produced the Team Jamaica Song for the 2024 Paris Olympics to energise the nation and its athletes during the season. The announcement and début of the song took place at the Racers Grand Prix held at the National Stadium on June 2.

“The Olympics represent a moment of pure joy, and I want our athletes to feel the support of the entire Jamaica. This song celebrates their dedication and hard work. I produced it to encourage them to believe and dream big when they ‘Guh Fi Gold and Glory’ knowing they have infinite support,” said Bolt.

As a part of the Guh Fi Gold and Glory campaign, the song is set to unite the cheers of Jamaicans worldwide. The song features collaborations with musical sensations Busy Signal and Shaneil Muir to amplify the spirit of Jamaicans everywhere.

Busy Signal, known for headlining the Red Stripe Independence song Big Up Jamaica, released in 2022, also brings his signature energy to this project.

“There is no better way to celebrate the Paris 2024 Olympic Games than with Usain capturing the infectious beat of dancehall, the inspired spirit of our people, and our aspiration to be the greatest versions of humanity. It’s born and bred in our culture, and when the JOA [Jamaica Olympic Association] and Red Stripe teamed up with Bolt it can only be electrifying…” shared JOA President Christopher Samuda.

On June 2, at the National Stadium, Jamaicans witnessed a preview of the talents bound for Paris between July 26 and August 11, 2024. Standout Jamaican athletic talents such as Oblique Seville, who claimed the hearts of the Jamaican people with his 9.82 run; and the talented Jaydon Hibbert, a 19-year-old long jump sensation who holds the meeting record of 17.75m, are prime examples of how our athletic team can perform when Jamaicans gather to give them support.

“While we wish we could tell all Jamaicans to pack their bags and journey with us to Paris to cheer on our athletes, it is simply impossible. That’s why, through our Guh Fi Gold and Glory campaign, we’ve created moments for Jamaicans to support our athletes locally and abroad with this song as a rallying cry. It shows our unity and dedication to taking on the world as a team,” said Red Stripe Brand Manager Nathan Nelms.

The new ‘Paris 2024 anthem’ song is available on all streaming platforms and the video can be viewed on YouTube.
