Gem Myers is busy getting things in place for the eighth staging of her GEM…With A Little Help From My Friends on Mother’s Day at Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.

“Fans can expect the same high level of presentation this brand presents each year. We are in a different location/setting but I look at this as a challenge to even surpass previous presentations,” Myers told the Jamaica Observer.

American R&B singer Evelyn King, George Nooks, Kevoy Clarke, and Delano McFarlane will join Myers as part of the line-up, all to be backed by Fab Five band.

Myers also points to her own mother, Ethlyn, as an inspiration.

“I had a great mom. I say ‘had’ as my mother passed away in 2015. She raised 10 children, along with my father, of course, in rural St Catherine under very harsh circumstances. She was strict, but loving, and wanted the best for all her children. We still celebrate her as we miss her very much,” she said.

Myers continues to woo audiences with her hits, among them One Man Woman and Prayer For Your Land.
